The Story Of The Little Bee
by Håkan Svensson
Once upon a time there was a little girl named Blue. One morning Blue woke up by a strange buzzing sound coming from the garden. She went out and found a little bee that got stuck in a chewing gum that someone mindlessly threw on a flower. She went inside and got two toothpicks. Very carefully she used them to free the little bee from the sticky gum. The bee was so happy! It told all the other bees what happened and they flew home and got something special for Blue. That morning Blue had honey on her breakfast sandwich, and she had lots of new little bee friends.
The end.
My father used to tell me this story when I was a child. It was my favorite story and I wanted to hear it again and again. It always gave me a very warm feeling inside. I felt the joy of the little bee and the happiness the girl felt playing in the garden with her new bee friends.
After beginning my Hunyuan studies this story has popped up from the corners of my memory, again and again. Maybe because they are both basically about goodness.
For me the Hunyuan studies help remind me of that goodness. And I need that reminder so stress and struggles don't get the best of be. Forever thankful.
