Normally, when people turn sick they visit a doctor, a health care practitioner or the local drug store. But if they acquire tools to help themselves and their families then it opens up an option for each person to take control of their own health, to help their children and parents. In general, healthcare is a centralized system where someone, or some company are making the drugs and procedures, a healthcare practitioner is then dispensing the medicine or the procedure. This means that the power to heal becomes centralized in the hands of the few, and the masses all have to go there for help. A fairly common model in an environment saturated with business logic, where one has the product and everybody else is the customer.
In Hunyuan, we strive to decentralize the healthcare whenever possible, give tools to people to heal themselves. If a person can restore their own health why then go buy products somewhere else? Why then be subjected to experts telling them what is best for them and their families.
Hunyuan Wuji Therapy is one such example. It is a simple external application using hot and cold packs in certain areas of the body to reach healing effects. It is simple to learn and fun to practice and everybody can do it. In order to practice this method one learns the Hunyuan Circle Theory and the Hunyuan Wuji & Acupuncture Theory (medicine track courses i and j) at the Hunyuan Academy. These courses include the Hunyuan overall health point of view and circular motion of one's body as well as locating the specific areas and Wuji therapy techniques. Children and adults both love this therapy because the treatment itself is pleasant and there are excellent results.
Empowering ourselves with easy to learn and fun to use healing techniques such as Hunyuan Wuji Therapy is an important first step to decentralizing healthcare and giving the power back to the mother and father, son and daughter. Nobody knows their body better than the person themselves!
